It's the first day of a new week!

1. Warm-Up- In your Norman Language Arts Google doc, answer the following question. Be sure to provide lots of good details!

2. Weekly Vocabulary-It's time to get familiar with your new Weekly Vocabulary. All of these words came from our class book, The Outsiders.

3. Weekly Vocabulary Assignment-This week, we will be using our words to create vocabulary boxes. Here is what a 4 square vocabulary box looks like.

You will be creating 7 vocabulary boxes using all of your weekly words. I will explain the box in detail.

4. The Outsiders-Today we are going to start our class novel. First, let's create and share a Google doc titled-Outsiders Journal

5. Ready NC Textbook-We are going to take a few minutes to look at our new textbooks. We will hopefully be using these books every week.

6. Analyzing for Central Idea-Today we are going to look at some effective ways to find out a piece of writing's central idea.

7. Independent Reading-Grab your books and get reading. There will be a Reading Notebook activity and a Reading Journal question.

8. Renaissance-Grab your Social Studies notebook and get ready to take notes on the time period known as The Renaissance.

9. Weekly Assignment-You will be creating a Renaissance Alphabet Book. I will demonstrate how you are to create these books and what they should contain.
