1. Warm-Up-In your Norman Language Arts google doc, answer the following question. Make sure to date your post, fully explain your answer, and use complete sentences.


2. Weekly Vocabulary-New week, new vocabulary words. This week we are going to mix it up a little bit! Here are 20 challenging vocabulary words with their definitions.

Since you guys are in the 7th grade, I want you to pick any seven words you want and do a Vocab 3-2-1

Remember:

3x - Spell

2x - Definition

1x - Use it correctly in a sentence

 

3. NC Write-NC Write is an awesome new tool you can use to improve your writing skills. Today we will try to get logged in and look around.

 

4. Study Island-ALL ABOARD!!!! It's time to set sail for Study Island. On Study Island, choose my class, pick the Summary Assignment, and select 15 questions.

 

5. Independent Reading-We will be creating 3 Summary Sketches (remember to include a written explanation of your sketches) in your Reading Notebooks.

 

6. Social Studies Warm-Up-Answer the following question in your Norman Social Studies Google doc.

 

How well can you read a map? Have you ever had to use a map to find something? Explain your answers.

 

7. Explorer's Map-Today you are going to continue working on a map which will trace the routes and give the reasons for exploration of 6 different explorers. These maps will need to be bright, colorful, and detailed!

Your map should include:
-Explorer's name
-Country they came from
-Route they took
-Years of their expedition
-Reason for expedition
