1. Warm-Up-Creative Writing- Look at the following picture. Write a quick short story about the picture. Be creative and try to include some of your weekly vocabulary words.



2. Weekly Vocabulary-Here are your Weekly Vocabulary Words. This week we have a whopping 14 WORDS. Take some time to familiarize yourself with your new words.

3. Weekly Vocabulary 3-2-1-Use all of your words to complete your 3-2-1 assignment. Here are the instructions:

Write each word 3 times
Write each word and definition 2 times
Write 1 sentence using each of your vocab words (make sure you underline the vocabulary word)

4. The Outsiders-Grab a copy and let's read. While you are reading, you should be creating 7 Character Ice-Cream Cones in your Reading Notebook.

5. Prefix/Suffix-Let's take a look at Prefixes and Suffixes again! First, visit the following websites and read up on our subject. When you have finished, we will discuss. The websites are here, here, and here.

6. Prefix and Suffix Game-Take some time to play some Prefix and Suffix Games.

7.Social Studies Warm-Up-Answer the following question in your Norman Social Studies Google doc.


Where and when do you think slavery started? Why do you think this? Remember to explain your answers.

8. Slavery Obituary-You will be given a slip of paper with a name typed on it. That name is someone who is important to the topic of slavery. You will use the next few days to research your person and collect as much information as possible. You are to then write an obituary for that person including much of the information you have found in your research. Be sure to mention in the obituary their connection to slavery.
