You are now going to tell me about YOUR favorite Christmas gift. This should be a gift that you will remember for the rest of your life. Go to NC Write and complete the prompt titled "The Greatest Christmas Gift I Ever Received". Your essay should be at least 150 words.

5. Main Idea-We are going to use Learning Farm to test our Main/Central idea finding skills.  Work on the assignment titled "12/2 Main Idea"

Where and when do you think slavery started? Why do you think this? Remember to explain your answers.

7. Slavery Unit-Today we will be beginning our Slavery unit.

8. Slavery Obituary-You will each be given a number that will correspond to a name. That name is someone who is important to the topic of slavery. You will use the next few days to research your person and collect as much information as possible. You are to then write an obituary for that person including much of the information you have found in your research. Be sure to mention in the obituary their connection to slavery.

2. Weekly Vocabulary-We are going to do things a bit different this week. YOU are going to pick your words. Grab your library book and look for 7 words that you may not be sure what they mean. These are your weekly vocabulary words. Make sure you have chosen words that are not too easy (do not chose words such as the or and)

3. Create-a-Quizlet-You must now log in to Quizlet and create a set using your words. I will walk you through this.

4. 7x7x7-This week, we will be using our words to create a 7x7x7. This works just like 5x5x5 except you use two more words. Here are the directions:

*Directions: Write each word and its definition seven times. When finished, create a paragraph with at least seven sentences that uses all seven words correctly. Make sure to underline the vocabulary words in your created paragraph.

2. Halloween Vocabulary-Here are your special Halloween Vocabulary Words! Take about 10 minutes to really get to know them.

3. Weekly Vocabulary 3-2-1-For this week's words, you will be creating a 3-2-1. These are due in 20 minutes. When you finish, turn them in to the sub. Here are the instructions again:
