9/11 Thursday

1. Article Review-Read the following article. After reading, write a quick review of the article in your Language Arts Google doc. . Your review should answer the following questions:

-Did you like the article? Explain your answer

-What was one thing about the article that you found fascinating? Explain your answer


2. Weekly Vocabulary-Take this time to either study and/or play around with your Weekly Vocabulary words or work on your word boxes.

3. Inference Game-Let's test our inferencing skills. Head the this site and play the game.

4. Inference Passage-This will be for a grade.

5. NC Write-Work on bringing that score up.

6. Grammar Fixer-Upper- Please read the following paragraph. It contains many grammar and spelling errors. Please copy and paste it into an email, fixing all the mistakes. Send the correct email to me. Your subject in the your email should be "Grammar Fixer-Upper".

The RiverTowne Players is starting a Young Actors Academy to their Rising Stars Youh Program? The Academy will offerrr an after-school class that will Train children ages 5 to 15 in musical theater. for three hours each Monday — 5 to 8 p.m. — there will be instruction in acting, dance and voice. The first semester begins Monday, with classes continuing through Decemdber 10. a showcase performance is set for the end of the semester, which will include all the participants of the academy? The fee is $25 per, weekly, session. The classes will be held in RiverTowne’s performing arts home, the historic Masonic Theatre on hancock Street.

7. 9/11 K.W.L.-I will pass out and explain our K.W.L. charts.

8. Homework-Obviously, you guys are too young to remember the tragic events of 9/11, but there are definitely people in your life that will. On a blank sheet of paper, have someone you know who is old enough to remember 9/11 answer the following questions: (you must write out the questions and answers on your sheet of paper AND answers must be in complete sentences!) This assignment will be due Monday!
