2. Class Novel-Take this time to answer some questions from chapter 2 of our class novel.

3. Class Novel Reading-We are now going to silently read chapter 3 from A Long Walk to Water. As you read, make sure you are filling in your reader's notes on your chart.

4. Weekly Vocabulary-You are to pick 7 words from chapters 1-3 of A Long Walk to Water to be your weekly vocabulary words. Now you can't complain about the definitions being too long! Follow these steps:

a. Go to Quizlet.com and create an account.

b. Using your book, pick 7 challenging words which you think would make good vocabulary words. Make sure your words aren't too easy and are not ones we have already done.

c. On a piece of paper, make a list of your words.

d. Go back to Quizlet and use your words to create a set. (I will walk everyone through this).

e. Use your words to create your Weekly Vocabualry project.

5.7x7x7-This week, we will be using our words to create a 7x7x7. This works just like 5x5x5 except you use two more words. Here are the directions:

1. Warm-Up-In your Norman Language Arts Google doc, answer the following question. Make sure to date your post, fully explain your answer, and use complete sentences.

2. Wordle-It's time again for us to express ourselves. Today we will be using word clouds to create a gallery of words all about you. Many web sites offer word clouds and let's try Wordle first.

Step 1: Go to Wordle

Step 2: Create your word cloud by typing in words that describe you. Do not use your last name anywhere in your Wordle. Be expressive! Press "GO" when finished.

Step 3: Save your wordle to the public gallery, but do not put your last name in the description.

Step 4: Copy (control-c) the embed code at the bottom of the page

Step 5: Paste (control-v) the embed code into an email you will send to me. Your email should have the title "Norman-Wordle"
