1. Creative Writing-Before we start our short story today, I want us to look a video that might help us creating a more suspenseful story.

Create a Google Slide Show titled YOUR NAME-EXPLORERS. For each explorer you picked, you need to answer the following questions in your slide show. Make sure you answer in COMPLETE SENTENCES!!!!! Your slide show should be at least 6 pages and include a title page.

Question 2-Where was the explorer from?

Question 3-What was the explorer known for/What did they discover?

List 5 interesting facts about this explorer.

3. Short Story-Read your new story-While your are reading, I want you to think about setting, character, plot, and summary.

6. CNN 10-We are going to watch our news like always. Instead of taking our notes on paper, we will now be taking them in our new Social Studies Google Doc!

7. The Inquisition-Today we will look at one of the worst aspects of the Reformation, the Inquisition.

8. Torture in the Inquisition-Torture was a big part of the Inquisition. Go to my Torture in the Inquisition Google doc and read about the various techniques used for torture during the Inquisition. On a blank sheet of paper, you need to rank the torture methods by how painful you think they would be.

9. Reformation Reporter-A reporter's main job is to get answers to questions. You are going to spend the next few days researching the Reformation. You will then answer, on a blank sheet of paper, the following questions:

WHAT-What was the Reformation? Be sure to fully explain your answers.

WHO-Pick 4 important people from the Reformation. Tell me who they were and why they were important to the Reformation.

WHEN-Pick and explain at least 3 important dates from the Reformation. Explain why the dates you chose are important to the Reformation.

HOW-Explain in detail how the Reformation started. What happened before that led to this movement?

WHY-Why did this movement happen? Why was it so important to the world? Why is it still important?

WHERE-What were some of the important locations of the Reformation?

Pick 3 things which you think are important and send me an email (Titled: Today in History) explaining why you chose the 3 events that you did. Remember to fully explain your answers.
