1. Warm-Up-In your Norman Language Arts Google doc, answer the following question. Make sure to date your post, fully explain your answer, and use complete sentences.

2. Weekly Vocabulary-Your word boxes from last week are due in 5 minutes!

3. Class Novel-We will use this time to answer some questions from chapter 6.

4. Class Novel-We will read chapter 7 together.

5. Coach Lesson 5-Your Author's Purpose packet will be due in 10 minutes.

6. Coach Reading Passage-Now you will work on a Vocabulary Reading Passage from our Coach book.

7. Black History Month-February is Black History Month. To celebrate, we will look at prominent African Americans and examine their impact on history.


Today we will look at Aretha Franklin. Go to each of the links here and here and use the information to answer the following questions in a new Google doc titled "Black History Month". Answer each question using complete sentences.

1. Who was this person?

2. When and where did they live?

3. Why were they so important?

4. What are 5 interesting facts about this person?

5. Was this person married and did they have any children?

8. Social Studies Warm-up-Study the following painting very closely and then answer the questions in your Social Studies google doc.

1. Who do you think this is? Why do you think so?

2. What do you think is going on in this painting?

3. What is the angel doing? What do you think the angel represents in the painting?
