2. Article Review-Read the following link . After reading, write a quick review of the article in your Norman Language Arts Google doc. Your review should answer the following questions:

-Did you like the article? Explain your answer.

-Was the article informative? Explain your answer.

Also, create two E.O.G style questions about the article.

3. Weekly Vocabulary - We are going to try something different with our Weekly Vocabulary Words. You guys are going to use the words to create a Google slide presentation similar to the ones I will use to help you review. I will show you an example.

4. Class Novel-Grab a copy of The Outsiders and get reading. We are getting closer and closer to the end!

5. Comic Strips-I hope you guys remember the comic strip we looked at a few weeks ago. It was the one with Arthur and the sword. Using that strip as an example, you are going to create 5 Outsiders comic strips. Your strips should be a scene from the book. You must also list the setting, characters, conflict, plot, and important events from each strip. We will discuss this assignment more in class.

6. Black History Month-February is Black History Month. To celebrate, we will look at prominent African Americans and examine their impact on history.



Today we will look at Walt Bellamy. Go to each of the links here and here and use the information to answer the following questions in a new Google doc titled "Black History Month". Answer each question using complete sentences.

2. When and where did they live?

3. Why were they so important?

4. What are some interesting facts about this person?
