1. Warm-Up-Creative Writing- Look at the following picture. Write a quick short story about the picture. Be creative and try to include some of your weekly vocabulary words. The mood for your story should be funny.

2. Weekly Vocabulary- Spend a few minutes watching these "K" letter vocabulary videos.

Your assignment is to create a short story using at least seven of the eight K words correctly. You can add suffixes to the words to make them fit better, but all words used must fit the context of your story. Rewatch some of the videos if necessary to better understand the words. This should be completed on paper. Remember to underline each vocabulary word in your story.

3. NC Write-We are going to make sure we get the best scores possible on our Outsiders review!

4. Poetry Assignment-Take this time to finish up your poems. I will be taking them up shortly. 

5. Poetry Quiz-Let's do it!

6. Benchmark Review-We are going to go back and look at the poem from our benchmark. I expect much better results this time around....

7. Black History Month-February is Black History Month. To celebrate, we will look at prominent African Americans and examine their impact on history.

Today we will look at Booker T. Washington. Go to each of the links here and here and use the information to answer the following questions in a new Google doc titled "Black History Month". Answer each question using complete sentences.

1. Who was this person?

2. When and where did they live?

3. Why were they so important?

4. What are 5 interesting facts about this person?

5. Was this person married and did they have any children?

8. Absolute Monarchy/English Civil War- It's quiz time!!!!!
