2. Article Review-Read the following link . After reading, write a quick review of the article in your Norman Language Arts Google doc. Your review should answer the following questions:

-Did you like the article? Explain your answer.

-Was the article informative? Explain your answer.

Also, create two E.O.G style questions about the article.

3. Weekly Vocabulary-Here are your weekly vocabulary words. They are all tone/mood words that a writer might use to set the feel of a story.

4. Vocabulary Crossword-We are going to use our words to create a crossword puzzle. We have done this before and I expect the results to be better than the first time. Remember to write your clues on the back of your paper. Your clues should be challenging but not impossible. Here is a reminder of what a crossword puzzle should look like.


5. Class Novel-We will be taking our final Outsiders quiz on Friday! Grab a copy of the book and get reading. If you have finished, use this time to review and study!

6. Poetry-We barely got started on poetry before we had our snow days. Let's review what we discussed on Monday and then we will be introduced to several different types of poems. Here are my slides. Be sure to visit the links in the last slide for some more types of poetry.

7. Black History Month-February is Black History Month. To celebrate, we will look at prominent African Americans and examine their impact on history.




Today we will look at John Coltrane . Go to each of the links herehere, and here and use the information to answer the following questions in a new Google doc titled "Black History Month". Answer each question using complete sentences.

1. Who was this person?

2. When and where did they live?

3. Why were they so important?

4. What are some interesting facts about this person?

8. Absolute Monarchs-We are going to take this time to review our slides.
