1. Free Rice Friday-Learn new words, donate some rice to the needy, it's a WIN-WIN situation. It's FREE RICE time!!! Also, Cane Bucks will be given to the students with the highest scores!
2. Grades-We are going to take this time to look at our grades in Powerschool. There are only a couple of weeks left of this 9 weeks so we need to get serious!
3. Vocab-Since you have only had your Weekly Vocabulary Words for a few days, I did not create a quiz. However, I want you guys to create a quiz using your words. Make sure you create 5 multiple choice questions. They should not be too difficult or too easy.
4. Book Recommendations-We are going to start filling up our Book Nook Wall. I want everyone in class to send me an email recommending 2 books that you have read and loved. You should give a brief description of each book and explain why you loved it so much. Send me you recommendations in an email titled "Last Name-Books" (ex. Norman-Books)
5. NC Write-Let's see if we can improve your scores from yesterday.
6. Outsiders Wordle-Go to Wordle and create a wordle that describes everything about our class novel, The Outsiders. Your wordle should describe the book and the characters.
7. New Years Traditions Across the World-Many countries celebrate the holiday of New Years, but few celebrate it in the same way. Go to the following link and check out some of the many New Years celebrations from around the world. Next, you are to pick 6 different celebrations and create a Google Slide Presentation detailing the varying celebrations. Your presentation should be at least 12 slides long.
