1. Warm-Up-In your Norman Language Arts Google doc, answer the following question. Make sure to date your post, fully explain your answer, and use complete sentences.

2. Weekly Vocabulary Words-Here are your vocabulary words for the week. Take a few moments to get to know them. 

3. Weekly Vocabulary - We are going to try something different with our Weekly Vocabulary Words. You guys are going to use the words to create a Google slide presentation similar to the ones I will use to help you review. I will show you an example.

4. Review-We are going to take some time to review our passage we worked on last week.

5. Poem Practice-We are going to use our reading skills to analyze a poem by Langston Hughes.

6. Class Novel-Grab a copy of The Outsiders and get reading. While you are reading, complete 5 Character Ice Cream Cones and 5 Pop-Up Questions in your Reading Notebooks. (An example of a Pop-up question would be "I wonder why Ponyboy acted like that on page 43?") If you find the answer to your questions, go ahead and answer them.

7. History Research-This week you are going to be flexing those research muscles and writing a research paper. You are going to pick one thing that you absolutely love, and then you are going to research that thing. You will need to find out who created your item, when and where it was created and any other important information you can think of. You will then need to take that information and write a 300 word research essay on Google docs.
