9/10 Thursday

1. Article Review-Read the following article. After reading, write a quick review of the article in your Language Arts Google doc. . Your review should answer the following questions:

-What was today's article about?

-Was the article informative? Explain your answer

-What was one thing about the article that you found fascinating? Explain your answer

2.Weekly Vocabulary-Take this time to either study and/or play around with your Weekly Vocabulary words or work on your word boxes.



3. Making Inferences-Grab a red Literature book. Read pages 827-829. On a blank piece of paper, answer questions 1-10 on page 830. When you are finished, complete the Making Inferences activity on page 833.

4. Scope-We are going to complete a worksheet from our Sleepy Hollow story.

5. NC Write-Let's get into NC Write and take a look around.

6. Channel One-We are going to watch Channel One news. Afterwards, you are to got to your Social Studies google doc and answer the following questions about the newscast. Remember to use complete sentences, and fully explain your answers.

7. Continent Presentation Wrap-up-We have finished our presentations! Now it is time for you  to review your team members. Go to this link an wait for my directions.

ENRICHMENT-Today for Enrichment we are going to have a Website battle. You will visit both websites. Really spend some quality time on each site. Then you will send me an email titled "Website Battle 1". In the email you should tell me which site you preferred and why. Remember to write in complete sentences and to fully explain you answers.

1. Game Time-Let's get the day started with some games. You can play either Eight Letter Game or our new game, Wordsearch.

3. Inference-Let's review and then watch a video that may help us perfecting our inferencing skills.



4. Inference Activity-We are going to use this time to work on an Inference activity.

9/8 Tuesday

1. Warm-Up-Creative Writing: Look at the following picture. In your Language Arts Google doc., write a quick short story about the picture. Be creative and try to include some of your weekly vocabulary words. Remember, you are writing a story based on the picture NOT describing the picture!



2. Weekly Vocabulary-It's time to get familiar with your new Weekly Vocabulary.

3. Weekly Vocabulary Assignment-This week, we will be using our words to create vocabulary boxes. Here is what a 4 square vocabulary box looks like.




4. Standards-We will look over the standards which we will cover in class this year. We will then start looking at the first standard.

5. Reading Notebook-Use this time to get your Reading Notebooks ready. I will give you your first prompt when you start reading.

6. Independent Reading-Kick back, relax, and read!

7.Social Studies Warm-Up-Answer the following question in your Norman Social Studies Google doc.

Have you ever heard of the Middle Ages? If you have, what do you know about it?If not, can you make an educated guess as to when it may have occurred. 

8. Middle Ages-Today we will begin looking at the time period known as the Middle Ages.

9/4 Friday



1. Free Rice-Free Rice is a game we play every Friday. It's an awesome way to start the day!

2. Awesome or Lame - Watch the video below and send me a quick email (jeremynorman@pamlicoschools.org) letting me know your thoughts. Your comment should include only your first name and last initial. It should contain complete sentences and proper grammar. If you have headphones, you can use them but if you do not just watch the video without the sound.


3. Weekly Vocabulary-Let's take a few minutes to finish your 3-2-1s and/or study your words. I will be taking up your work soon.

4. What is the least populous country in your continent?
5. What is the weather like in your continent?

9. How big is your continent compared to the other continents?
10.What are some of the rivers, mountains, deserts, and other geographical features found in your continent?
