3/1 Tuesday

1. Warm-Up-Creative Writing- Look at the following picture. Write a quick short story about the picture. Be creative! The mood for your story should be depressing.

2. Scope Magazine-Get back in your groups and let's get to work.

3. Poetry Breakdown-In your groups, you will be breaking down another poem.

4. MDG-Head over to Actively Learn and make sure you are caught up on the questions.

5. Channel One-We are going to watch Channel One news. Afterwards, you are to go to your Social Studies google doc and answer the following questions about the newscast. Remember to use complete sentences, and fully explain your answers.

1. What were the stories on today's newscast?

2. Which story did you find most interesting?

3. What was interesting about this story?

6. Black History Month-February is Black History Month. To celebrate, we will look at prominent
African Americans and examine their impact on history.





Today we will look at Thurgood Marshall. Go to each of the links here and here and use the information to answer the following questions in a new Google doc titled "Black History Month". Answer each question using complete sentences.

2. When and where did they live?

3. Why were they so important?

4. What are some interesting facts about this person?
