2/7 Tuesday

1. Warm-Up-Creative Writing- Look at the following picture. Write a quick short story about the picture. Be creative! The mood for your story should be scary!


2.Game Try-out--Head over to this site and give these games a try. When you have finished, send me an email (jeremynorman@pamlicoschools.org) with the subject "New Games 2/7" and list and explain your top 4 favorite games. Also, let me know if you think they would be good for our Wednesday Games.

3. Most Dangerous Game Map Activity- You are going to create a map of Ship-Trap Island.  Your map should be creative, colorful, and contain important places from the story. Your map must have at least 8 spots marked on them and each spot must correspond with something from the book. You must also reference the spot in the story where your places are mentioned. This will need to be written on the back of the map.

4. Channel One-We are going to watch Channel One news. Afterwards, you are to got to your Social Studies google doc and answer the following questions about the newscast. Remember to use complete sentences, and fully explain your answers.

1. What were the stories on today's newscast?

2. Explain how each story might impact your life.


5. Black History Month-February is Black History Month. To celebrate, we will look at prominent African Americans and examine their impact on history.


Today we will look at John Coltrane . Go to each of the links here, here, and here and use the information to answer the following questions in a new Google doc titled "Black History Month". Answer each question using complete sentences.

1. Who was this person?

2. When and where did they live?

3. Why were they so important?

4. What are some interesting facts about this person?
