9/22 Tuesday

1. Warm-Up-Creative Writing: Look at the following picture. In your Language Arts Google doc., write a quick short story about the picture. Be creative and try to include some of your weekly vocabulary words. Remember, you are writing a story based on the picture NOT describing the picture!


2. Quote(s) of the Day -- Send an email (titled Quote) responding to the quotes below. Your email should include what you think the quotes means, if you agree or disagree with the author, and supporting details and examples to support your thoughts. Also, comment on how the two quotes relate.

3. Weekly Vocabulary-Here are your Weekly Vocabulary Words. Play some Scatter or Space Race.

4. Weekly Vocabulary 3-2-1-Use all of your words to complete your 3-2-1 assignment. Here are the instructions:
Write each word 3 times
Write each definition 2 times
Write 1 sentence using each of your vocab words (make sure you underline the vocabulary word)

5. Inference Practice-Practice makes perfect!

6. NC Write-You will continue working on the Chose a Power NC Write that you started last week. Remember, it needs to be at least 150 words!

7. Channel One-We are going to watch Channel One news. Afterwards, you are to got to your Social Studies google doc and answer the following questions about the newscast. Remember to use complete sentences, and fully explain your answers.

1. What were the stories on today's newscast?

2. Which story did you find most interesting?

3. What was interesting about this story?

8. Middle Ages-Let's get back to our slides.
