Friday August 30

WOW our first blog post of the year! We will be doing A LOT of work on this blog this year. It will be the central hub for most instruction throughout the year. Take a few minutes to look over older entries and get a sense of how the blog is set up.

When you are done, start working on Number 1. When you have finished, you can move on to Numbers 2 and 3.

1. Natural Resources -- On a piece of paper, you will create a fact list about natural resources.

Please scan through pages 68-70 in your blue book and create a list of 20 facts about natural resources, renewable resources, non-renewable resources, etc.  Use only those three pages.  Make sure your facts are numbered and you write in complete sentences.

2. Awesome or Lame -- Watch the video below and send me a quick email (jeremynorman@pamlicoschools.org)  letting me know your thoughts.  Your comment should include only your first name and last initial.  It should contain complete sentences and proper grammar. If you have headphones, you can use them but if you do not just watch the video without the sound.

3. GMAIL- Today you will log-in to your student email. If you forgot, your log-in will be you first and last name and the @pamlicoschools.org

For example:
TylerEllenberg@pamlicoschools.org

After logging in, please send me an email (jeremynorman@pamlicoschools.org) with at least 5 sentences describing things you'd like to do this year in class. What are your favorite class activities? What is something that you have always wanted to try in school but haven't had a chance to. Finally, what are your big plans for the long weekend? Are you going go wild, or take it easy and relax?

4. Game Time-This is a pretty fun vocabulary/word-building game. See what level you can get to on 8 Letter Game!

  2. Kloe G.: I loved the video! It was awesome to see people doing things like this trying to keep the world clean. I totally want to meet a real life Mario and Luigi pull off stunts like that. I also noticed the wraps around their hands witch meant they are probably gymnast. I really miss you Mr.Norman! I also really like 8th grade!
