Thanksgiving is over.....but Christmas is closer than ever!!!!

1.. Warm-Up-In your Norman Language Arts Google doc, answer the following question. Make sure to date your post, fully explain your answer, and use complete sentences.

Which food would you have missed most if the Columbian Exchange had not have happened?

8. Food Project-In groups of 2 or 3, you will be creating a Google presentation on a certain food. I will be selecting each group's food. You will thoroughly research your food and use the information you find to answer the following questions:

-Name of Food
-Other names for the food
-Country of origin (where did it come from)
-Number consumed each year
-Various uses for food
-Different varieties of food
-One awesome recipe using your food!

Your presentation should be at least 9 slides (including a title page.) You should also include pictures.

1. Game Time-Today we will be using a new site for our gaming. The website FitBrains contains many games designed to test and increase your cognitive abilities. You will need to create an account. We will go over all of this together. The games themselves are fun but challenging. Let's get playing!

2. Nouns and Verbs-Try out these new games which will test our ability to recognize nouns and verbs. Here is the Noun Game and here is the Verb Game.

The RiverTowne Players is starting a Young Actors Academy to their Rising Stars Youh Program? The Academy will offerrr an after-school class that will Train children ages 5 to 15 in musical theater. for three hours each Monday — 5 to 8 p.m. — there will be instruction in acting, dance and voice. The first semester begins Monday, with classes continuing through Decemdber 10. a showcase performance is set for the end of the semester, which will include all the participants of the academy? The fee is $25 per, weekly, session. The classes will be held in RiverTowne’s performing arts home, the historic Masonic Theatre on hancock Street.

6. The Inquisition-Today we will look at one of the worst aspects of the Reformation, the Inquisition.

7.Torture in the Inquisition-Torture was a big part of the Inquisition. Go to myTorture in the Inquisition Google doc and read about the various techniques used for torture during the Inquisition. On a blank sheet of paper, you need to rank the torture methods by how painful you think they would be. For example, whichever technique you think would be most painful would be your number 1 and so on.
